Hans von Aachen was born and raised in Cologne Germany. This is where his painting career began. Whether it was religious artwork, paintings of aristocratic portraits or mythological subjects Hans tackled them all. While in Germany he studied under portrait painter Georg Jerrigh before eventually relocating to Italy around 1574. Hans painted many famous pieces that we offer here at Frametowall in framed prints.
